Note: I don not consider the bible to be a historical document. Any evidence besides the bible that confirms that Jesus was really resurrected, or is this belief just based on faith?

Your trying to discount the Bible as a historical document doesn't work. It the THE longest running historical document in existance.

His resurrection was well documented and witnessed by over 500 people.

If we use your criteria, can you prove to me that Abe Lincoln or George washington existed?. All you can provide to me are document that I may or may not believe.

satisfied to oblige. besides the very undeniable reality that authentic fundies disdain me and my perspectives. evaluate first the Jesus' resurrection is shown with the help of the writers of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, the Pauline letters, James, a million-2 Peter and Hebrews. each of those authors has been always shown to write down with above popular readability and integrity. Luke is an historic historian of significant integrity and arguably the right historic historian of the middle East. He tended to apply technical words in connection with political and geographical counsel. those words were always shown with the help of heritage and archaeology to be precise. Luke mentions that there have been an more desirable 500 witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I project every person to provide evidence that those authors have any shown historic mistakes of their texts. i might want to easily ask that you supply those authors an analogous appreciate that you may want to offer a journalist (and that i know there are not any actual newshounds on the circumstances, i'm basically attempting to be fantastic) from the lengthy island circumstances. The documentary evidence of the recent testomony is above reproach and the type of honestly manuscripts dwarfs the subsequent closest record of historic heritage (those comprise the Iliad and the Odyssey). between the right archaeologists (initially a Bible skeptic), WF Albright has written, "there is not any longer something yet prejudice hostile to the records of the former and New Testaments." for sure now, there's a multitude of prejudice hostile to Albright besides. And Laine... many have died for a lie. the reality of the Apostles of their martyrdom is that if Jesus did not upward push from the lifeless, they died understanding the resurrection replaced right into a lie. people die for lies each day, yet people do no longer die for a lie that they know for a reality is a lie.

It is based on faith as well as is all religion no matter what it is. Christ rosse from the dead and the Bible being used as a road map led archelogists to the site where it reportedlyu happened, beings the Bible was used for the directions to this very significant event then the Bible needs to be accepted as proof.

I spoke with him this morning, is that historical enough for you, if not I spoke with him Saturday also.

Why don't you call on his name and ask him for yourself, he died for you. Now he is waiting for you. He loves you very much and would like nothing more than to hear you call on him.

God bless.

Faith: defined by the fact that it is NOT knowledge

Believers don't need physical evidence, that's why we'ere BELIEVERS and not witnesses.
