SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - Tyler Radkey and other second-graders at Emma E. Booker Elementary School didn't know what to think when an aide leaned in and whispered something to President Bush on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. "His face just started to turn red," said Tyler, now 13 and in seventh grade. "I thought, personally, he had to go to the bathroom."

For a puzzling seven minutes, the youngsters read aloud from the story "The Pet Goat" while the shaken president followed along in front of the class, trying to come to grips with what he had been told - that a second plane had just hit the World Trade Center and the nation was under terrorist attack.....Bush soon left the classroom and, after a briefing from aides, strode into the library where other pupils were awaiting an appearance by Bush and Education Secretary Rod Paige. The children were unaware of what was unfolding as Bush made a brief statement to the nation about the attacks.

Sorry I jumped to the impeachement idea...but he just keeps pissing me off with everything he does. And now re-reading the happenings of 9/11, I'm sure the kids would eventually understand if the president justexcused himself saying he didn't feel well and he'd be back in a couple/few days.

You can't impeach someone for being shocked. Anyway, their are far better arguments for impeachment. How about failure to uphold the Constitution? There are plenty of good reasons to impeach him.

How do you people come up with such trash? Trying to impeach Bush will be suicide for the Democratic party. Common sense will prevail.

Bush was only in office a few months when 9/ll occurred so how could he possibly be to blame. Why wasn't Clinton on top of this situation? What were the papers that Sandy Berger illegally took home and then lost them.

THINK things thru before forming asinine opinions.

What did you want Bush to do: Tell the Children we are being bombed. Such thinking is sooooo frustrating and I feel sorry for such people.

What's worse is the fact that he lied about how he knew

"Just before I went into the classroom I saw it on a television, the television was obviously on. Before I had time to think I was being ushered into the class."

Yeah, he saw the first tower being hit despite it not being broadcast on national television until the following day...

Ok, sorry, what does that prove? I'm all for calling the guy out, but dude, that's dumb. He was supposed to be reading kids stuff. What was he supposed to do, freak them out by running off? C'mon. There are mo' better things.

Sorry puppy, Im no Bush fan, but I can assure you, less than 5 minutes after the first tower was hit, all national and local news stations went live for the rest of the day. There were already footage of the first plane hitting available to news stations. It wasnt a low traffic area of the city by any means, and most morning network shows broadcast live every day in that vicinity.

As much as I'd like to have him impeached, I don't think this is a good enough reason.

Bush did a good job you liberal lackey. He couldn't just rush out of the class and upset a bunch of second graders. He took the best action at the time. Clinton would have been have sex with an intern. Also Clinton was the JERK who let Osama get away in the first place. Clinton should be tried for treason.
