He is 47 and I am 25. We have been together for three years and live together. We love each other a lot. Why won't his family accept us?

If you are sure it can work , just be a strong individual and go for it,No one is gonna justify or take care of your relationship and its in both your hands, both of you'll have decided it is meant to be , yes then it is meant to be .
Parents may have problems with things like acceptance in society , and our society by default is all willing to pounce on you ..Secondly problems like the pro-creation and the family going on etc are also there .. but consult a doctor ask him the possible solutions..Work on it ..and it has to b both of you'll .. .Go on be individualistic ! Go for it girl , all the best from me . and any doubts remember .. KEEP STRENGTH!

They probably think you are a golddigger and just after his $$$ or house or something.
Aint that why a lot of young girls go out with older men?

If anything i thought that your parents wud resent u being together, not his.

ammmmm... that is sick!!!!! of course they'll be against it!!!! r u that bad that u couldnt find anyone ur own age?? he's like ur dad... !!!

and ammm.. when u'r 47.. and he's 60+, what u gonna do when he sits at home.. and doesnt do anything u want him to??? whats gonna happen when in 2-3 years he's not gonna be able to be as fit as u r, as strong as you, are.. and share ANY of the same interests as you??? arent u gonna hate it?

isn't he too old to listen to what his parents say? and if those re your parents who re against u - im with thme. he is too old for u. im 36 my hubby is 50 i think he is too old for me. think when u re 35 and your man will be 57 - a complete wreck

they probably think he will get hurt with you being allot younger than him i would prove them wrong if i was you

maybe they don't think you are good enough for their "little boy"... or that you are a gold-digger... or any one of a number of other reasons...
