This is an age old question. You could say they do it on purpose to make you buy more to compensate. Or you could look at it like the bullet proof monk. He said no matter how unfair or uneven things in your life might be, you can always get a hot dog.

so you and 3 of your mates can have 2 hot dogs each and then snap the 2 left over ones in half and eat without a hot dog roll... or a spare 2 are there, just incase your pet dog snatches the hot dog out of your roll!

i take advantage of to eat uncooked warm dogs as a newborn and that i'm a senior now. So i assume they are no longer that undesirable,for you.Very fatty foodstuff,with a gaggle of additions, eat intently sparsely.
