There's so many theories of evolution, "we evolved from monkeys", "we evolved from birds" because we would sing for communications before there were languages. "We evolve from the oceans" because of water content in our bodies. Fact is, we're here, let's not try to find out how or why, and just live.

The question is rather, where are the in between stages between monkey and man... there should be loads of variations..... what an incredible non-find. There should be millions no.... and if there are the cross breading in Noahs time will of explained much what a sin. What a crime, what a perversion, there truly is nothing new under the sun.(as stated in the bible)What blessed reassurance.

because different members or groups of the same spices can evolve in different directions in different environments, or if they have to adapt to different lifestyles. read about the finches on the Galapagos islands. started as the same species blown over from South America. the finches that started eating tough seeds developed tough beaks for cracking them, the finches that were eating insect grubs in the cacti developed different beaks. their different habits were passed to their offspring as well as their physical traits, so over a loooong period of time they eventually separated out into different spices. we are closely genetically related to chimps, but a loooong time ago some proto-chimps started living on the ground, whether through choice or changing environment. these were the proto-chimps that led to humanity, the proto-chimps that stayed in the Forest became fully fledged chimps. so that's why there are still monkeys.

okay we don't come from monkeys, our predecessors are related to them. In other words our primitace ancestors were once as monkeys are today. Monkeys just haven't evolved as far as our ancestors did. Perhaps one day they will long after humanity has gone.

Theists are not okay with sharing a common ancestor with monkeys, but they seem definitely fine with being created from dirt. How ironic.
The reason we have monkeys is because we share a common ancestor with them. We were lucky enough, thanks to our mutations, adaptations, environment, etc., to have evolved into humans, but monkeys evolved different because their circumstances were not the same.
