They usually wind up in the “deleted emails” folder in your outlook, which you can clear by right clicking and selecting “empty deleted folder” from the pop up menu.
They would very rarely end up in the the recycled bin, but you can always check to make sure, and you can delete them from the bin without deleting everything else by opening the recycle bin, selecting the email files (would be represented by an envelope, or have the suffix .msg or .eml) and pressing the delete button on your keyboard.
If you want to make sure that deeper digital imprints are gone, you should clean your drive and defragment it:
1. Click on My Computer.
2. Right click your hard drive (could be called Local Disk) and select Properties from the popup menu.
3. To the right of the pie chart describing your computer, you will have a button that says “Disk Cleanup”. Click it. The operation will take a few minutes, but you will then be able select various types of temporary files and folders to be deleted off your system.
4. After following the disk cleanup and it finishing, click the Tools tab from the Properties window (the one with the pie chart).
5. Click on the Defragment Now button.
6. another window will open, at the bottom you will find a “Defragment Now” button. Click it
This might take anything between 2 minutes and an hour and a half, depending on your computer speed, the amount of data you have on it, and the last time you’ve defragmented it.
Please note – you need to have administrative rights on the computer to be able to defragment it.
Have fun!

All Outlook items are stored in special composite files rather than stored as individual files on your hard drive and when deleted, the storage file is modified. It is almost impossible to recover emails deleted from these storage files, especially if you have encrypted the contents of the files.

They go to a delete folder. When you close the program you are asked if you want to delete them permanently. Once that is done they are gone forever.

Check your recycle bin, but if you have deleted them from there you have to get a techno geek to retrive them, and if this is not what you wanted to hear, they have died in cyberspace....floated away....
