The CSA work out how much the absent parent can afford to pay from their salary it is usually fair so why do people complain saying its too much?

Any decent human would give their last penny towards their children, so why won't these absent parents?

There can be lots of reasons for this. ( I am not saying i agree with them or think they are good reasons.)

Sometimes if you don't live with the child you have no concept of how fast children grow or how expensive it is to provide for the child.
Maybe it woud help to provide a written budget and receipts to give an indication!

Sometimes people start another family when they are unable to provide for both families and do not have friends or family who will point out that they have an obligation to provide for their first family before they can start having another one.

Sometimes the new wife is annoyed that the husbands money goes on his old family. This happened to my friend when his dad left and remarried. He stopped giving any money - for his last years of school or any contribution to university but he paid for his new kids to go to a very expensive private school! His uncles and grandparents were so embarrased by their sons behaviour that they contributed money and were there emotionally for this boy when his dad abandoned him.

Sometimes people say it wasn't their choice to have a child (they didn't study biology so don't understand that sex leads to babies) - go figure!

Sometimes they think that the wife's new husband should pay for his kids (how you can have so little respect for your kids is beyond me - what ever the relationship with the mother of the child i don't know how as a parent you can justify financially abandoning your child.)

Some absent parents think the parent looking after the child is spending the money on themselves. In some cases this is true, however the dont realize how expensive children can be. Maybe instead of cash deposits the absent parent can see where the money goes ie; either buy the child clothes and pay schoolfees etc or get reciepts of the purhases made. I think that will make both parties happy.

On the other hand some dont care and shouldnt get to see the child if they dont provide for them financially. Thats sad though as a child needs to know both their parents.

Some are just plain losers that don't care. There are some instances that child support is paid and the person recieving it don't use it for the children, instead they use it for their bills, their own clothes, and other personal things instead of the kids because they know the other parent will buy all the clothes etc. Some use it for drugs. I have seen this, and I saw responsibile parents that will use every dime for the children like they are supposed to. I guess that is a question that only the person complaining can answer why he / she is bitching about it.

I don't think that's fair. People complain all the time! That doesn't mean they don't do what they have to do. I know how important it is to put my child in the best programs available... but I still complain about the price tag!!! Hell... I could make another house payment for what I dish out it daycare alone, but I do it... because that is part of being a parent. You choose that when you have a child.

specking from experience. i think that once they are no longer living around their children they want to forget them, it is not far for the kids or the parents who raise the children. it is usually the man (i don't no in Ur case) child support payments become a chore for them they would rather not have to pay, while the mother usually has to pay for all of their child's up bringing. it is not fair by any means. what i did is took what he gave me, and kept the fighting between us and never involved the children because although it will ****u off to no end, it will do the children no good to hear you put the other parent down. just be happy that you get to raise them and have them in your life everyday, that's what i did when it would upset me.

Despite what is court ordered, it is still difficult to pay, its like another rent payment etc.

They are not choosing to ignore paying becasue they do not want to be responcible. More people should choose to stay together, hate each other or not, it is cheaper for both parents AND hellloooo!!! It benefits the children to have both parents in their lives.

Happy families means less and less children growing up to screw up like their parents did.

Because they are ignorant...they think that the parent left over should be responsible for the child.
