Well there are differant sites however most you are going to pay for, such as any background check or something like that. But since you have this up on a military site I am assuming it is a vet you are searching, www.vets.com is a good site, however if you know the unit the person was in than you can always contact the HQ at the post they were stationed looking for possible ways at contacting the person or records if that is what you need. This last can be hard depending on what you need due to security reasons, you usually have to be a child or sibling or spouse in this regards but it can work just takes alot of time. However I do suggest vets.com I found records here of my grandfather who i wanted to learn more about because I had never met since he died before I was born and I got medals, death certificate, more than one can even imagine.
