Cream, half and half, vitamin D--in that order. The thicker the better. It's all about flavor, thickness, milk-chemical reaction stuff and yum. Always heavier milks. The more fats the better.
And
Always fresh over canned or powdered.

Usually if it says milk it means whole milk. If another type of milk is wanted the recipe will specify that.

Anykind would work. If you want a lower fat mac and cheese, use a 1 or 2% milk.

It doesn't matter, just not concentrated milk. The more creamy the milk is, the creamier the macaroni and cheese is.

Any kind of milk, just not concentrated, will work. i usually use more butter than milk. My kids seem to like it better that way. Milk seems to make it soupy if your not careful. Use a thicker milk to make it creamer, if you use milk. Good luck.

you can use any kind, can milk will make it the creamiest, then whole milk, then 2% and so on. the less fat in the milk the less creamy the mac and cheese tastes.
