Statements I've seen such as "People need to realize that Jesus is their savior" or "Believe in God and you'll see the way." I'm pretty sure that other religions teach to embrace other beliefs, but not this one. I swear, you do not see other religions preaching as if they're the most important. Arrogance is not a great tool in trying to make yourself look good.

I think that every religious AND non-religious believer behaves the same.

That's why I feel so glad to be an unbeliever.

Christians are very proud of their religion and feel that everyone would be happier if they were Christian. Many Americans feel the same way about democracy. It is more likely that you have come across some arrogant people; I know several Christians who are perfectly fine with people not being Christian, they just want to spread the message. They're trying to let other people know that a belief in God has worked for them.

It is simply human nature to believe that your way is the only correct way, especially if it is the most popular way. Guess what the most popular religion is?

I have read what others wrote on this, Fanaticsm is there with every religion. As u asked about christianity, here is a say:

Because LORD should come to the world fast. Time is running out. The belief is that once all humans reach the streamline towards LORD, He would resurrect as promised in 2000 (a year HE promised to come before insertions of July and August months), as this did not happen

In hope try to forcefully hipnotise to convert people.. "Jesus the saviour resurrects again". HE shall not come when humans have different faiths. HE was destined to come in 2000. the dead time for a project.LORD is only a messenger not GOD.
In other religions their is no GOD's death. HE exists always. GOD will never die.

Its not only the Christians, all religions, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. all behave like that, and there is a very good reason for that, to believee in a religion means that you believ that its the only true religion, and all others are not.without such an attitude i don't think that you can blindly follow a religion, and that is what (blind faith) a religion demands.
though in now a day its difficult to find people other than preachers, and few others who show such attitude because frankly religion is out of fashion now, people (generally) do not identify with their religion.

if you ask a question in which a Christian can respond with the above statements - they will. You can read into the words with any tone, yo don't know that of the poster - they suld be smling lovingly, shouting with fire & brimstone or even a sheepish sly tone. Christians, most, are very tolerant of other denominations - unless they are being tested by people's malicious ignorance (not your question but others).
if you look about the board and through life - you really don't see other religions preaching.... i live in the south and even i see it in this Christian/Bible belt!
God Bless!

Your question shows an ignorance of both human nature and religion. Many religions have factions within them that feel theirs is the only one that matters. Perhaps you haven't read the newspapers for the last, say 10 years, but there are several Muslim factions that believe so strongly that their way is the only way that they feel called by their God to kill those not only who are non-Muslim, but those who are not Muslim enough.

It a trait of human nature to want to believe that what we believe is the only truth. And there are plenty of Christians included in this.

This trait is not just limited to religious beliefs. I see it in issues of politics, race, gender and even science. Why, some nimrod here on Yahoo Answers just recently had the arrogance to suggest that on the basis of his own lack of evidence, which in itself is ignorance, that believing in God was ignorance.

That might make a good religion in itself. The doctrine of "If I don't know it, nobody does."

Very good points. Christians believe they are helping us avoid burning in a lake of fire for all eternity that the God of all things made for people who dont believe God wants to save them from burning in a lake of fire for all eternity
It makes sense to the christian

Most are self-righteous American Protestant extremists that seem to truly believe all that.

In my experience of them, they resort to passive-aggressive preaching and random misquoting of their Bible if you confront them with any information that questions their faith.

While I do realise that one is permitted their own beliefs, they shouldn't try to cram them down other peoples' throat and they should also learn to accept facts when they are presented, regardless of whether they contradict their Bible (eg. evolution theory, radiometric dating) especially as their Bible contradicts itself excessively in the first place.

It is because they believe it is the truth and do not have another way to express it without making poeple feel that way.
