Best to strike a balance. Never follow blindly, but don't question so much you can't see for the questions.

The way we deal with our faith varies depending on the need or the intellectual level of the individual. "Doubting Thomases" need to have their questions answered before they will believe. Others need to have something to believe in to make their lives whole and will "follow blindly".
We cannot attempt to know or understand everything there is to know for our questions to be answered satisfactorily.
When a 4-year old child asks a question that has a complicated answer, you can only tell the child what the child can undertand, not a lengthy philosophical discussion. A child is therefore taught first how to obey first. His questions will be sufficiently answered as he grows older. In the meantime.... he may have to "follow blindly".

Faith cannot exist if there isn't a question. How does blindly following show faith? How can you reach into the unknown and believe it, if you don't get answers to what the perimeters are of what you're suppose to hold fast to. How can you have faith, you can put out a fire if you never looked for a fire extinguisher? How can you know God or His will, without asking who, what, when, where, why? To show your faith you must challenge the unknown. To know the unknown you must ask Who,W.W.W.Why.

Follow the word of God, and not your own faith. If what you believe is in line with the word of God then follow it! If it is not then do not follow no matter who tells you that you should! Make no mistake, many faiths and religions can twist the word of God into what they want you to believe, and some do this out of ignorance or misunderstanding, but if you pray and study God's word He will give you the guidance you need to understand the truth!

Question everything and challenge your beliefs daily.
How will you know your on the right path if you just sit back and not do any work in the matter?

Faith is the excuse for ignorance. If ignorance is bliss, Christians must be having never-ending explosive orgasms.

BOTH -- blind faith in God is the way to go, but questioning (in a compassionate non malicious way) religion is what you should do. Religions are there to help you along your own personal pathway to God.
God Bless in your journey!
