Osama is EXPLOITING ISLAM and religion for his own purposes and in doing that he finds a very fertile ground in poverty, ignorance, opportunism, crave for power of his followers.
It's right what happens in most islamic countries.
A mix of ignorance, low culture, strong tradition, desire of revenge againt westerners, sharply exploited by muslim leaders to implement their war against WEST.
In this way terrorists don't have time to think that their leaders are stealing money (Arafat for example, whose wife has countless millions of dollars in a bank account in Paris), gaining power etc. So it can happen that EVEN WHEN the condition for peace arise...those muslim leaders always find a good excuse to go on....Ending the war would also mean losing their power (and all the advantages that come with them)
That said, it remains that some parts of the Quran clearly state that the non believers must be fought!

Islam is equally as great itself as Christianity, Hinduism, Buddism and any other religion... & muslims misunderstood their religion & their self-propaganda brought... Islam a bad remark...
