John Grisham - The Client / A time to Kill
Wilbur Smith - Seventh Scroll
Stephen King - I have watched most of his movies but never read any
Robin Cook - I don't remember which was the best I read them so long ago I think more than 15-16 yrs ago I stopped reading after I felt they were getting repetitious , think I liked Coma!

My fav. pick is -
Fantasy fiction - harry Potter
Thrillers/ fiction - David Balladacci, Irving Wallace ( I re-read most of his books last christmas )

I am in the mood to try out a new author someone who writes along the lines of fast paced thrillers like a Sheldon, Ludlum or Baladacci... can you think of someone???

Great question, thanks for asking I really had to look back some 15 -10years in my past to recollect my smith favs and cook favs. think I will read Smith's Eye of the Tiger again!

I 2d the advice to study Neil Gaiman's Sandman sequence. I additionally fantastically propose Terry Pratchett's discworld books, yet i could desire to declare they are no longer "epic in scope" they are only very smart and witty and nicely written. And stable on ya for liking The count form of Monte Cristo - what a tremendous e book this is, one in each and every of my favorites.

Don't like any of those authors. How about Stuart Woods, J.A.Jance or any sci-fi/fantasy authors' works.
