Because the Bible contains and advocates some really reprehensible things, like mass murder, genocide, rape as punishment, slavery, and so on. Christians have to weave a lot of double-talk to excuse tyhese atrocities and often try to claim that the Bible "isn;t actually saying what it says."

How come you get the most polarized responses when you ask about Christianity or the bible? It doesn't seem to be true of any other religion or any other religious book. Maybe there is more here than just simple beliefs. Why would you be so adamant against the bible if it means nothing to you?

Christians dont try to excuse, justify or rationalize the bible. But they try to explain it for u to understand with a spiritual view. Because God is not physical and you need to understand spiritual things with a spiritual mind.

When one is presented with such a mish-mash of fables and contradiction as dire as the bible what other course has one to follow. Admit total defeat of try and talk your way out of the bunker.

Because people don't understand the Bible, people question the Bible, and people try to use logic instead of faith in keeping a relationship with God

because a lot of people now see what it is a fairy tail and the christian hate that because thay can not control people we are not dum like we were in the dark ages we can not get conned now

Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is within.
Some people haven't picked up on that yet and look for it in the Bible.
Or so it seems based on the preeminence it is given over the idea of love God and thy neighbour.
