Hey Svenallemand,

Sounds like someone took a last name and gave it to you as a first name. The web site below describes meaning of names. I would not put too much faith in that. I put bennet in that search, and it does not give a meaning. It does reference other people with the Surname bennet (tony, etc)

What would mean more is your surname, and it's roots. Good luck.
