I think, if you drink too much alcohol in a night at the bar, two
things will happen:
First, the person who drink alot of alcohol will then talk alot,
boast about his adventures and becomes physically violent.
His cool and calm personality before drinking will change him
into a monster after drinking and he may quarrel, shout vulgar words, scream or be involved in fights. At this stage, he's quite high but not drunk yet. The alcohol in his blood stream is influencing his brains, which cannot reason and thus expose
his bad side of affairs.
Second, if he still continues to drink more and more until his
system cannot take it, then he becomes drunk and may
vomit on the floor. He can't stand up and walk steadily. He
wobbles and collapses on the floor.
Finally, he has to be aided out of the bar by his close friends
and taken home quickly. The next morning he will experience
a splitting headache but he couldn't remember what and how
he behaved last night at the bar.

Alcohol slows down the ability of the brain to function.
Drink quickly and the effect kicks in quickly, not allowing the brain time to moderate the messages to the rest of the body(mouth, fists etc.)
Drink bathfulls of booze and the brain cannot cope with an unending soaking of the grey matter - same results only later arrival.
Drink alone, nothing entering the brain but single stimuli, brain does not react as quickly to defy results of booze.
Drink in good company, in comfortable environment and at the slowest drinkers pace, that's the delight of your own personal poison (Glenfiddich Malt Liqueur is mine!!)

One night I drank a glass of brandy. The next thing I was in a wardrobe & before I knew it I was in narnia. This dude called cs lewis said he was going to write a story with me in it & me been drunk. This huge stoned lion called aslan chased me around narnia & then gave up when I gave him a packet of skins. I ate a load of turkish delight & then ended up getting kicked out of narnia by some ice queen tramp. They said I was too abusive & I was drinking all the beer. Basically it is the beer stirring up all the chemicals in your brain. Mood swings are quite natural when you are boozing but the best thing is to get up the next morning & drink a few more beers to get you started for the day. A breaksfast comes in handy sometimes but be careful. You dont want to block your belly from receiving more beer. Get a breakfast roll if necessary. Cheers

Actually it depends on the person itself. The more you drink, the more neurosynapses are shut off in the brain, and the more basic the acting of the person gets.
If the person is agressive by nature, he won't be able to controll his agressions/anger that easely when he is drunk.

It doesn't change your personality. You just have a harder time hiding your true personality. Drunk people are more likely to do and say what they feel, whereas sober people tend to try making themselves more socially acceptable. If you can't stand the way someone acts when they've been drinking, just remember, this is who they really are. If you don't like who they really are, stay away from them drunk or sober. Otherwise your whole relationship is a lie. They're trying to act like something they're not and you're try to act like you like them. For what it's worth, I think drunk people are a lot more honest.

Releases you inhibitions in the part of the brain that controls impulse.
What are its short-term effects?
When a person drinks alcohol, the alcohol is absorbed by the stomach, enters the bloodstream, and goes to all the tissues. The effects of alcohol are dependent on a variety of factors, including a person's size, weight, age, and sex, as well as the amount of food and alcohol consumed. The disinhibiting effect of alcohol is one of the main reasons it is used in so many social situations. Other effects of moderate alcohol intake include dizziness and talkativeness; the immediate effects of a larger amount of alcohol include slurred speech, disturbed sleep, nausea, and vomiting. Alcohol, even at low doses, significantly impairs the judgment and coordination required to drive a car safely. Low to moderate doses of alcohol can also increase the incidence of a variety of aggressive acts, including domestic violence and child abuse. Hangovers are another possible effect after large amounts of alcohol are consumed; a hangover consists of headache, nausea, thirst, dizziness, and fatigue.
What are its long-term effects?
Prolonged, heavy use of alcohol can lead to addiction (alcoholism). Sudden cessation of long term, extensive alcohol intake is likely to produce withdrawal symptoms, including severe anxiety, tremors, hallucinations and convulsions. Long-term effects of consuming large quantities of alcohol, especially when combined with poor nutrition, can lead to permanent damage to vital organs such as the brain and liver. In addition, mothers who drink alcohol during pregnancy may give birth to infants with fetal alcohol syndrome. These infants may suffer from mental retardation and other irreversible physical abnormalities. In addition, research indicates that children of alcoholic parents are at greater risk than other children of becoming alcoholics.

Alcohol is a drug that shows the real you. If you are a violent person you turns more violent, if your funny you turns funnier, if your harmless you turn more harmless. Can give you confidence if you have just a bit but too much it turns you bad.
