Would you get upset if someone called it the "Bibble"? I think a lot of Christians would. These things do matter.
The problem is, though, with translating it from the Arabic. It's difficult to get an equivalent spelling. A spelling like "Koran" probably comes from trying to make it more like an English word---so it's this kind of linguistic colonialism, which is what makes it offensive to some. That's why "Qu'ran" would be more favored.
However, "Koran" is still a commonly used spelling--my copy of the book has "Koran" written on the cover.

it is Qu'ran or Quran -- the ' is a indication of the syllable. Qu'ran is also called Furqan. Qu'ran means -- a criterion to judge between right and wrong.
its like foetus in British english and fetus in American english. the people in west call it the Koran not the muslims.

It is spelt Qur'an.
Just like the Holy city of Makkah, some people spell it Mecca.
The Arabic language is very particular when it comes to its grammar, pronounciations and spelling. A small toungue twist could mean another word. of course this doesn't affect regional slangs and accents. But when the proper form of the language is used, it is better used correctly especially when it is for something as crucial as religion.

Spell it any way you want. There's no perfect translation from Arabic to English because it's a phonetic language. The closest translation to English seems to be Qu'ran.

That's peculiar. I have never had a Muslim get angry with me. I believe all of the spellings you have cited are correct, though the first is the English spelling, and the other's are the Romanized (using our alphabet) Arabic spellings. I think as long as you capitalize it and show respect, you should be fine with any spelling. I, myself, prefer to spell it Qur'an, as that's exactly how it sounds when it is said in Arabic (yes, you hear the break where the apostrophe is).

There is no right or wrong spelling of this word as it is a transliteration of a word from a script that does not use Roman characters. What is used is a matter of common acceptance and neither right nor wrong.

Why do you generalize? I am a Muslim and it would not upset me if you spell it incorrectly because I realize the Arabic language has some letters and sounds which do not exist in other languages and which are difficult for some people to spell.

I never met any muslim who got angry when it was spelled wrong. I myself spell it Al-Qur'an, although the official spelling in my language (Dutch) is Koran. That's the difficulty with transliterations. Only with the Arab alphabet can it really be spelled correctly.
