there are so many tooth whitening products that are available. See your dentist and she knows what's good for you...

Is there something wrong with professional whitening?

Brushing your teeth regularly along with flossing will help whiten your teeth (if they're not at its whitest already), but many times people aren't able to obtain paper white teeth and need professional whitening.

It's the enamel make teeth harder and brighter. So first you have to check your calcium balance then if less take more orelse leave it as such. Other things are using fluorescent pigments or chewables. to keep a couting of it over teeth and make it shine more brighter. Keep the teeths clean always. etc.
