The "multi-dimensionality" must have been used in some transitive sence. I've never heard anyone call their housing multi-dimensional.

Yeah, there is obvious literal meaning - your house has 3 dimensions: height of the ceining, lenght of the room and its width. But somehow it is trange to refer to them as multi-dimensionality.
