It is actually more expensive to buy electronics in China. In addition the quality is very poor. The people in China want stuff from America--cameras, mp3 players, ect. because it's made better and it's from America. Things from America are always better. I've seen mp3 players made in China and they are really cheap looking and won't last very long. I'm seen Ipods that are about 30% more expensive. I would just stick to buying electronics here. It might be a little more expensive, but the quality is worth it.

this is the way i looked at it.........what happens after you have trouble with your laptop, are you going back to china to get it fixed? i spent 3 days looking at electronic gadgets and came to the conclusion that it's better to shop local because then you can take it back to them to get it fixed and also the prices are the same in china as they are at home or on the internet........so i bought my stuff at home, locally.

It is cheaper but if you buy it there, be sure when they give you the box, tell them to show you that it works. Many times they will go to the back to get you a new one but give you a dud. Also, be sure it is compatible with your systems

not necessarily most parts are made there but assembled somwhere else. Another thing ot consider is if you can actually buy electronics that can be used on your electrical system what ever country you are in.

Not really.
Branded goods in China are just as expensive as elsewhere.
Thailand is a better place to buy them.

yes, it's cheaper to get it there. however, if you are going for quality, it's best to buy from the original country. eg. Konica cameras - made in japan.

it depends if you are local or foreigners and know where to shop and know how to bargain.

even if you do, chances are that there's no warranty with it.
