He could easily have just created them again. Also, wonder if Noah used slave labor to build the Ark?

Good question. I believe the story of Noah is a myth contained in a flawed, man-made book.

Even if this story were to be considered a fiction, why 'wonder' ?
Remember, Noah also is a part of his Creation, so , He created a thought in Noah to "see" that He instructed Noah to save the animals.
Labor could have been used to build the Ark, and like our modern lay-offs, retrenchments, close downs, the laborers might have left Noah after building the Ark !

this is a great question...

your right about G-d creating the animails again but the thing is G-d gave Noah a job, and he did it, and G-d flooded the earth..

I was always told that Noah did it, and the other people made fun of him. I would suppose that is why only Noah's family was saved..

Many times in our lives G-d Tells us to do things because of a reason and we either choose to listen and follow or not

Obediance! First & foremost, & like Job, Noah is also a man that the Lord manifested to illistrate answers to questions that all humanity will have on their pathway in search of God & who He is & what He wants..etc...
(I mean how many times have you heard people say things like "why doesn't God just destoy all humanity or all sinners, etc..& just start over....hummm?...like what He did in the case with Noah?!) The reason being so that we could LEARN that sin cannot be "eradicated" in that manner...that as long as sin remains in unrepentant mankind, then we will always have the same end result. The only answer for sin...is Jesus Christ!

I think Noah and his sons built the ark. I believe God was testing Noah's faith and obedience in saving the animals.

he allowed the flood to cleanse the world from all sinners, people during that time were worshipping other gods, doing immoral acts...too many bad things to mention.

do you think those animals committed mortal sins?

Noah is a good man i dont believe he abuse men to do the Ark. He made it according to God's plan.

My belief is that the story of Noah is a legend. It is a story to explain the floods an why someone survived and also to explain the rainbow. But God works in mysterious ways.....

the wisdom of God is beyond your imagination.

God told Noah to save the animals to teach him how humans should behave in certain situations.

if God was to do every thing on his OWN which he could, then what would be the purpose of humans?

He could have created them again but He gave mankind stewardship over the earth. The animals were (and are) our responsibility. (Don't get the idea that I'm some kind of animal rights wacko. I love eating dead animals as much as the next person. I just can't stand mass extinctions.)
