I'm truely sorry if this sounds like an inappropriate question but I don't care about what I read in the pamphlet. With my ex, I totally lost my drive, but I wasn't happy w/him anymore to begin with and knew the relationship was about to end. So I don't know if the Lexapro might have also contributed to my losing it. Anyone had problems w/lexapro in this area or any other areas?

Yes it's well documented to show sexually related side-effects such as premature ejaculation, descrease in sex drive, and anorgasmia.

But then again all the anti-depressants I know of have those side-effects...some worse than others though.

I take Lexapro.. and did have side effects with my husband... I think it was the husband causing the side effects cuz he's out of the picture now and my 'side effect' is gone also.

I have used Lexapro. And yes, it can decrease your sex drive. Almost all Anti-Depressants I have been on killed my sex drive. I have not found one myself that did not hurt my sex drive. But if your relationship is based on your sex drive, you don't really have a relationship. I have been 2 years without a sex drive. Maybe if I had a girl approach me it would be better :)

no, it is not a medication side effect. It is a psychological cause and effect in progress. When you know your relationship is headed for the dump your drive generally goes with it.
