A few years back, medical scientists discovered that most ulcers are caused by a bacterium (Helicobacter pylori) and can be cured with antibiotics. Robin Warren and Barry Marshall got the nobel prize for it.
You might look into it if you haven't seen a doctor in a while.

Many things cause stomach pain. Nicotene from cigarettes does, spicy foods do, antibiotics do, garlic does, pain medicines do, and many other meds. Also one kind of ulcer can be cured by antibiotics.
The pain will get worse if you don't treat it.
Do the following:
Eat sweetened yogurts and nuts as often as possible.
Take calcium supplements (2000mg per day)
Don't drink any sodas or tea or carbonated beverages or citrus drinks like juices.
Do drink lots of water and milk and black cherry Propel
Take pepsid before bed.
Do not take any antacids
Eat NO spicey foods!
Stop smoking or reduce it greatly.
Take no pain meds.
Things you can eat are: dairy products, baked chicken, wheat bread, veggies, crackers, penut butter, all nuts, yogurts, sea foods that are not spicey,
cakes and cereals, rice, pasta, and ice creams or ice yogurts.
Do these things and your pain should be gone. If it isn't see a different doctor.
My good wishes to you.

Prevention is better than cure. You should have taken care of stomach mucosa if and when you felt heartburns in the first instance itself. Smoking and worrying, fast food, alcohol consumption, eating of acid forming foods, remaining hungry for longer periods, etc aggravate peptic ulcer.
Eat less food more times per day.
Consume milk and its products.
Eat some biscuits in between meals.
Avoid spicy and chilly foods.
Regularly consult a Gastroenterologist and have a checkup.
Please see the webpages for more details and images on Peptic ulcer.

The best cure is by YOGA do Nauli Kriya for 10 minutes every day and consume 1/2 glass of milk without sugar after the exercise. You have to have an empty stomach and empty bowl to do Nauli Kriya and therefore the best time would early in the morning before breakfast and after toilet. Your Ulcer symptoms will go in one week and a perfect stomach in one month.

try taking this gel called sucralfate its good for ulcer healing. Take omeprazole before meals and rantidine at bed time this should usually do it. I honestly suggest you not to take milk or calcium tablets because if you read about the secretion of gastric acid it only potentiates acid secretion. Im a medical student usually this regime works for me in some cases basic non medical treatment is all thats required like : avoid spicy food, oils, black pepper, carmintives go for a walk after eating, keep you pillows up and most important reduce your weight

See Let's Get Well by Adelle Davis. She cured a lot of people with her methods back in the 50s and 60s; no reason why what she did then would be any less successful now. Also: get some Iberogast and Gastrosoothe (Enzymatic Therapy) to get you over the rough spots. ((Be sure your gastroenterologist has ruled out stomach cancer))! See also: Digestive Wellness by Elizabeth Lipski for more good tips and ideas.
Good luck and God bless.

quit smoking
quit eating spicy and rich foods which cause increased gastric acid secretion
avoid NSAIDs - non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (aspirin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, piroxicam, meloxicam, etc etc)
have a look at the wiki page on peptic ulcer (yes I know it says smoking and spicy food are relatively minor things, but if you do enough minor things it will help too)
You can try simple antacids and the acid reducing medications (H2 receptor antagonists and proton pump inhibitors) but ultimately your ulcer may require
o time
o H pylori eradication therapy
o surgery
