In the case of Darwin's theory the very slow and an insignificant rate of spontaneous mutations in DNA that result in viable new species does not explain the mind-boggling diversity of plant and animal life (estimated at over 15 millions species). The animals and plants that are alive today judging from the fossil record, represent only an estimated one-thousand of the species that were conquering the Earth in the past and most extinctions have been mass extinctions each one wiping out 70-90% of all species , creationists starting with Adam is where science and religion meet because when humanity went almost extinct 70 000 years ago , there was a man coming from Africa Adam that populated the planet again

Darwinism and creationism two different thoeries :How can we explain that some bacterias which existed billion of years ago are still found the same and didnt change to another form,.Darwin's theory seems inadequate in front of the big picture : mutations are triggered by cosmic catastrophes that themseleves cause mass extinctions and pave the way for new species to appear by inoculating new genetic material into the genomes of survivors. While man likes to think of himself as the logical culmination of progressive evolution from stupid bacteria to smart Einstein passing by playful ape, the truth of the matter is that there is no logic at all in evolution : unlucky species are wiped out and replaced by others regardless of aptitude or merit. If there is a grand scheme or purpose would it lead to some of these new viruses that are popping out every now and then like Ebola, HIV, SARS, Bird Flu v. ? Is this the ultimate purpose of life -that some stupid virus will wipe out more advanced creatures? Nature does not regard life with any respect and what appears to us as an intelligent design may be a reflection of the complex dynamic physical rules of electromagnetism at work or perhaps just a reflection of our own electromagnetic mind

Darwin was lucky because scientists didnt eliminate his theory of the fittest who can survive , how can he explain the extinction of the mammoth and of the dinosaurs who were very fit to survive , in fact this theory served the exploiters to justify the exploitation of the less fit, the exploitation of those less able to adapt to the circumstances and opportunities of the times. The exploiter cared less for the physical survival of the human animal than the survival of a field animal

Actually the mutation rate agrees remarkably well with the fossil record of speciation. Look up the literature. Here's just one example:

The evolutionary divergence of chimpanzees and humans from a common ancestor of around 6 million years ago gives an estimate of 2 x 10^-8 base substitutions per site per year in those organisms. Observed rates are between 1 and 5 x 10^-8 per year, a very good match with the prediction of evolutionary theory.

Observed rates of mutation easily account for the observed differences between species as diverse as mice, chimpanzees and humans in the time frames indicated by the fossil record - In other words, consistent with evolution.

'Adam' is just religious mythology.

You can not imagine the length of time that the earth has been around. There was plenty of time to cause all the mutations. Sspontaneous mutations are NOT the only cause of DNA mutations!', so your premise is heavily flawed. There are several more "natural" forces involved. Get that through your head. And religion and science will NEVER meet, as science is based on proven facts, while religion is just made up fiction.

Back in Renaissance times, there was serious discussion among religious leaders about how many angels could dance on the head of a pin. What would your answer be????? Think about that one.

There is no rational basis for religion, except that it's very understandable why we would need to create it.

Think about our experiences as children. We had (or most of us had) parents who were powerful, mighty, just and terrible when we disobeyed them. When that's central to your life as your view of the universe is being formed as a child, it's almost inevitable that many people will seek something equivalent in their adulthood. They would feel too empty and terrified if responsibility for the fate of things stopped with them. Sadly, it is our own responsibility to make the world a beautiful, sustainable and good place. Waiting for a god to do it for us is just wishful thinking.

Actually Darwin and Genesis fit in together. You see it all depends on different points of view points of view. It isn't faith that makes good science it curiosity. You also don't leave your brain at the church door.

Science and religion are polar opposites. Science seeks the truth even if it means overturning old ideas. Religion seeks to perpetuate old ideas by denying the truth.

what is your question?
Creationism is against Darwinisim because catholics refuse to believe that evolution took place even though there is reputable evidence that it actually took place where as the bible is the only thing catholics have and for all we know it was just a novel.
