I asked this friend of mine out but she was like she couldnt go cos of her boyfriend, so i kinda apologised cos i didnt know. is that right?

I dont see why you should have to apologize. But it was a thoughtful gesture. There is nothing wrong with a guy asking a friend to go out even if she has a boyfriend. Friends go out all the time. Now if you had told her something to offend her then maybe but asking her out is not offending.

Apologise is never worng.. in fact it takes a big heart to apologise..
If you think you did sumtin wrong or you feel you offend sumbody a thousand apologies is generous...
And it will never hurt you or anyone..infact it makes you feel better and give a very peaceful sleep...
There is an old saying:-
A peaceful sleep is priceless..not everyone can have it!

its good you apologised but tell her that you did so cos she has a boyfriend and u may have put her in an awkward position not an apology for asking herl... too many people waste their romantic lives asking what ifs... u've taken a step askin' a normal healthy question, arent we all lookin for luv really...???

I think it's o.k. to apoligize because you didn't know she had a boyfriend. But, not o.k. if you are apoligizeing for just asking her out. If you don't take risks in life you will never get anywhere. Not to mention you will find yourself pretty lonely.
