Ask your fiance if she likes books and what kind. Book lovers always love to get books. Otherwise something for the house such as a pretty candle in a really nice candle holder.

if she likes you, go for something more personal, like dinner, spa coupon, something special and a bit of luxury. if she's just "so-so" about you, keep it save with a nice bouquet. Be gallant about it anyhow. You want to impress her but if you are not sure if it gonna be good or bad impression then just be sincere.

gift basket of some kind ( bath products, lotions that type of stuff)
or a gift certificate to a day at the spa or for a massage. somthing to pamper herself! that will win you points!

try to look for an old picture of your fiance's mom a good one, look for an "portrait artist" ask him to draw the pic in charcoal or pastel or whatever...i think this is much sweeter...
