Coming off the depo shot can throw your hormones out. I went for up to three years without a period after discontinuing it once, then bled so heavy it pooled in my shoes while sitting! I went to a gynecologist to be evaluated and yes, my hormones were haywire. If you can, for your own peace of mind, you may want to be examined. Do yourself a favor, and search the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control on the risks of Depo-provera. You might just be amazed and startled at what you find. I know I was floored over what I read on their websites on the depo shot.

I have had the shot going on 8 yrs. But like 3yrs ago I stopped it for about 1/2yr in total "just to", but my period was outta wack the entire time! I didn't get it for 1 month after I stopped. Then the rest of the months were exactly the same as you describe, I did end up going back to the doctor after like the first 4 months and explained she said that it was normal, that my body was just "getting back to normal", but they should start getting more regular. By the 5th month it actually did lessen in the days and 6th I was able to predict when I was having it (to get the shot again).
But since when I went thru it, I was worried, which I am sure you are otherwise you wouldn't be asking this question.....

Go and speak to your doctor anyways, it is always better to be safe than sorry. & it'll put your mind more at ease.

Good luck with that! Try not to worry as much as well, they say stress can give changes in your period as well.

Yes, the depo shot can do that to some women. The shot lasts for 3 months, you stopped in Feb, so your period started again in June, thats about right. Your next few cycles might be really out of whack but it should normal out, give it a few months. Talk to your doctor if its bothering you, he/she may be able to prescribe a birthcontrol pill to get you back into your normal cycle. I've been there, hang in there. :)

There's nothing wrong with you, this is normal after being on depo.that's the bad side of it.that when you stop your body goes haywire.Go back on the shot and that will stop. But do still use protection

Birth control makes your body act weird afwards. But i think that that much bleeding isnt good. I would call your doctor. Better safe than sorry.

Hormones can totally throw you out of whack. If you're bleeding that often or with blood clots you should see a doctor.
