It is so child like.
( i have it and you do not have it.)
when the humanity will learn why religion is there ?The humanity has also made it a commodity telling everybody my religion is better than others.
is it really needed ?
i do not think so.
as for i m concerned if you pray to god in any way you are doing well.

If you look at the bible, Jesus did a door to door ministry, which some people accepted and some people didn't. Before his ascension into heaven, he laid a command on his follows to keep preaching the Good news until the time of the end.
When christans go door to door, they are first obeying a command that was set for them to do , to keep preaching until the time of the end.
And secondly, what is at stake is peoples lives. At armaggendon no one can say they did not know about god or his purposes, so if people choose not to know that is their right to do so. But some will choose to know.
Unfortunately there are some people that are over zealous and far too pushy, that is not good and shouldn't happen.
Everyone has to make their own choices whether they want to know or not, we are only messengers giving people that chance to make a choice.

Technically no one has the right to force feed their beliefs on anyone. But however some people need to hear the word of God and Jesus's teachings to truly understand that He cares for us then and now and in the future. It is up to each individual that hears the word to decide upon themselves if they choose to believe in what they hear or not. As a Christian myself, I won't cram down anyone's throat my religious beliefs. If someone asks me a question I will try to answer it the best way I can.
Some Christians are fanatical when it comes to preaching of the word of God. Some think it is their duty to cram down people's throats the word of God. To me this is not right or fair, if in fact the recipient told them "no thank you this is not my cup of tea" or "no thank you I don't want to hear that". The Christian person should respect the right of the recipient and back off. Some Christians do back off while others do not.

Some churches tell their followers to be pushy and act like blasted telemarketers. It's sad that you usually see this with Christianity. In Buddhist, Hindu, and even Islam cultures, the faith isn't pressed upon others like it is sometimes forced upon others here.
Personally, I don't agree with most of the witnessing methods. I say that you treat a person like you would yourself. If someone were to come up to me on the street and make me feel uncomfortable by asking me odd questions and telling me that I'm going to jail (or hell, in this case) and not leave me alone, I'd punch them in their throat.
P.S.--I am a huge Christian, but there are some things that just don't sit well with me.

Nobody likes the "Turn or Burn" lectures from people you may not even know or at times that you may not have time to talk, but Christians just want to make everyone aware of God's love and show people how He works in their lives and in their hearts. It's a truely amazing feeling. Sorry about the pushy people. They really do care about you though.

i m a Muslim, and i know that its Not right to force someone to join to one's own faith/belief/religion. All that u can do, is to Convey the Message, and make others see ur point, But if they are Not convinced and don't want to join, then its their choice, and no amount of convincing can make them think otherwise. So, after u have fully conveyed the other ur point, and if they don't see it like the way u do, then its better to leave it at that, 'coz u have already conveyed ur points, and u have Nothing more to say to convince them. Peace to All.

Because, honestly, it's because this person cares for your soul and feels that it is their right and brotherly thing to do to help direct you to the truth and to your own error.
Some are more mature and when they recognize that you have a closed heart and a closed mind and are not honest in heart or trully seeking the truth then they just drop it and let it go. After all, it is your choice where you want to go and who you want to be. Even if it's just plain foolish, prideful and sad.
The others feel a desperation to try to help you SEE the truth and it frustrates them that there are others out there who do not feel as they do or see what they see. They pity your soul, they pity your ignorance and closed mindedness and hard heart. They don't want to give up on you because if they can save but one soul then they have great joy, and so does that one soul they helped save.

Possibly it is something in the way that you are responding??...even when you say "it's not for me"?...A (real) Christian knows the truth, & they want you to know it as well...or at least feel that they have conveyed the TRUTH to you. WE are responsible to God to make sure that we have shared the good news with all those that the Lord has placed in our path, if you really don't want to hear what God is attempting to share with you thru His followers, then just know that when you stand before the judgement seat of Christ, (and you will) that not one of those "pushy" Christians will be held accountable for YOUR blood..YOUR sorrow, or YOUR separation from the best thing in the Universe: LOVE!

Our bible tells us to tell people about hte gospel. and althogh i do not agree with some methods (ie, being pushy in the grocery line, etc) i do unserstand the urgency of the message that we are trying to get out.
Here's a bit of interest for you though, regarding pushy evangelists. In the bible, Jesus told his desciples to go preach town to town and if they were not welcomed, they were to move on. So my question is, why is this so hard for some christians? move on!
