a fake Christian usually, but not always, denies the Trinity. They deny Christ. They have all of they attention on themselves. They take credit for everything, and give none to God.
The world is full of "weak" Christians. That is not a sin. It's too bad, but not a sin. They simply need to get their priorities in life, in check with Christ. Take a stand in faith, and Grow spiritually.
It's called. Commitment.
Philippians 4:13 --- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.
Great Q*.

Good question!
A fake Christian, has no idea of what the bible is really saying, but think they do, and can quote bible verses to make any point they want with out understanding what the verses (out of context) really means!
A struggling Christian, has no clue what the bible is saying, and they know it! They read it and it makes no sense to them.
Worse is that they go to fake Christians to get answers (there are a LOT of fakes out there) and they sometimes get mambo jumbo as an answer!
They often only have the apparent choice of leaving the church or faking it!
Once in a great while, they run into some one who does know, and the truth is sometimes more than they can take, or they begin to learn!

When someone is honestly afraid that they are a fake Christian, then you can be fairly sure that they aren't; they most likely are the real thing.
Every (real) Christian is a struggling Christian.

It depends on your definition of a Christian.
I think a true Christian is someone who believes in Christ and does their best every day to follow His teachings. And I've never heard the phrase "struggling Christian". I'm guessing that it means someone who is having a hard time believing and/or following Christ.

A real Christian would be someone who practices what Jesus teaches.
Jesus taught that the greatest commandment was (basically) to love God and your neighbour wholeheartedly. (Check bible for the places this is said, but this is pretty close.)
So a real Christian does this.
Fake Christians do not.
Struggling Christians try to do this and kick themselves for failing, instead of appreciating the efforts they do make. Struggling Christians tend to not realize how blessed they are just to know about love.

If you pretend to believe, but really don't, then you're fake. If you truly believe, then your life will reflect it. When things are going wrong, the true Christian will continue to worship and believe that God is there and true to his Word. The struggling Christian, which is most of us, believes and will continue to worship, but some of the passion is gone and can't seem to figure out how to get it back.

I think Christians are Christians but people like to put mean names like "fake" christians to make themselves feel better for being a "real" christian I have seen so many people go off on others because they still dont think they are real I think if you believe in God then you believe I am a Catholic but Im not going to call anyone a "fake" Catholic it's wrong i dont have the right to determine your faith neither does anyone else

It's easy, just ask them if the only reason they are a Christian is because they have a selfish desire to live forever.
If they say yes, they are a fake Christian because they put themselves before God.
If they say no, they are a fake Christian because they are lying.

When his first name is "George", his middle initial is "W" and Last name is "Bush".
He lies to the people so that his wealthy friends can make more money and pay less taxes. The military industrial complex has made a fortune since he has been in office. He has no concern for the people who can really use help. He has not performed one Christian act that would reflect he is a follower of Christ.
This is just an example. . .But a perfect example of a fake Cristian. A Struggling Christian is some one who wonders how their belief can be so varied in opinions. So much so that they are not sure who or what to believe, yet want to believe that Jesus Christ is their saviour.

I had a friend who was a fake Christian ... he was brought up by a devout family and he had to pretend to be Christian or they would have disowned him. He did a lot of stuff he shouldn't have done, but all he really cared about was that his parents and church leaders wouldn't find out. He had no actual conscience. But he still went to church every Sunday because he was putting on a show.
Now, I think that all Christians struggle at times ... I don't think any of us are perfect. We all fall short of the glory of God. A struggling Christian is one who has questions or who has trouble leading a godly life but is trying to learn the truth and to improve the way they live.
