My favorite is 3rd or 4th. some say 4th or 5th because you get to see whats lying on the table, is gives you a chance to see what your odds are in getting the card you need.

If you are good, sit in the anchor's chair, the last one to get cards from the dealer. If not, sit somewhere in the middle of the table. Table position only really matters when dealing with more than one person, as in Blackjack they deal in the same order regardless of where you sit.

It doesn't matter, although some people here will probably say "third base", the position that plays last before the dealer. In reality, it makes no difference.

It depends on what country you are playing in.
In the US, it does'n't matter that much. But I like sitting first in the states. Dealer already has his second card in the states. one face up and one face down. In Europe and in Canada dealer only get's one card, and after everybody has hit, he takes his second. So the anker plays a bigger role...
So if you know how to play, you play anker, or let someone who knows the game play anker. The anker usually has two hands, so he can screfice one hand and get the other one.

DEALER chair!

hehe. unless you are at the casino. then sit at the first chair being dealt. your chances of getting the right card are higher.

however, if too many people start playing, i suggest you relinquish your chair and find another table.

the more people at a table, the lower the odds of winning.

If you're just playing basic strategy then it doesn't matter. I see fortunes made and lost equally at all positions. If you are playing pitch then sit at first base and you might get a quick peek at a hole card with a lazy dealer.

No, you can't do it because it is wrong for men to do the very same thing women do (take "objectification of women" as an example, they ogle at each other on a daily basis but go nuts whenever a guy does the same).

The left-most seat, just to the right of the dealer. That way you can see the idiotic moves other players make before you commit yourself ;)
