Everything Islam teaches has a scientific meaning and health advantage Like not taking alcohol, Pork etc. Same is with circumcision. In India for example AIDS is more common in Hindus than in Muslims because Hindus don't circumcise but Muslims do.

I'm not sure what scientific meaning you are looking for. If you are asking if the circumcision is "real" because often much of the foreskin remains, I would say that it is. It's not a scientific fact because science has never really concerned itself with this matter .It is a symbolic act and as such the importance is that the act was performed not that every scrap of flesh is removed, much like microbes remaining after a ritual handwashing do not make a person unclean.

The first answer is incorrect. Infant circumcision is left to the parents to decide in the US and for the past 20 years or so, it has become much less common than it had been.

Circumcision may have health benefits, including:

Easier hygiene. Circumcision makes it easy to wash the p**** — although it's simple to clean an uncircumcised p****, too.

Decreased risk of urinary tract infections. The risk of urinary tract infections in the first year is low, but these infections may be up to 10 times as common in uncircumcised baby boys. Severe infections early in life can lead to kidney problems later on.

Prevention of penile problems. Occasionally, the foreskin on an uncircumcised p**** may narrow so much that it's difficult or impossible to retract. This can also lead to inflammation of the head of the p****.

Decreased risk of penile cancer. Although cancer of the p**** is very rare, it's less common in circumcised men.

Decreased risk of sexually transmitted diseases. Safe sexual practices remain essential, but circumcised men may have a slightly lower risk of certain sexually transmitted diseases — including HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, and human papillomavirus (HPV), which causes genital warts. Some strains of HPV also cause cervical cancer.

Paraphimosis: This is when the retracted foreskin cannot be brought back again over the glans and is a very painful problem, relieved by circumcision or slitting the dorsal surface of the foreskin.

Zipper injury: In uncircumcised boys the foreskin can become accidentally entrapped in zippers, resulting in pain, trauma, swelling and scarring of this appendage. Foreskin accidents in men can also occur.

Elderly men: In elderly men, infections and pain from balanoposthitis (see below), phimosis and paraphimosis are seen and carers report problems in achieving optimal hygiene in uncircumcised men. The need for an appliance for urinary drainage in quadraplegics and in senile men is facilitated if they are circumcised. Nursing home staff have particular difficulty performing their duty of washing the genital area of uncircumcised elderly men, particularly with the onset of dementia. Such men can react violently towards staff or family during attempts to wash under the foreskin. This is an under-recognized problem and far from the mind of a parent or neonatologist when considering circumcision for an infant, so that information on the gerontological perspective should also be given at birth [114].

read the following please

The Following article is abridged from: http://www.whyislam.org/877/FAQ/q5.asp

Kaaba is the Qibla( i.e. the direction Muslims face during their prayers). It is important to note that though Muslims face the Kaaba during prayers, they do not worship the Kaaba. Muslims worship and bow to none but Allah.

It is mentioned in Chapter 2 of the Quran:

"We see the turning of thy face (for guidance) to the heavens: now shall We turn thee to a Qiblah that shall please thee. Turn then thy face in the direction of the Sacred Mosque: wherever ye are, turn your faces in that direction." [Quran 2:144]

1. Islam believes in fostering unity

For instance, if Muslims want to offer Prayer, it is possible that some may wish to face north, while some may wish to face south. In order to unite Muslims in their worship of the One True God, Muslims, wherever they may be, are asked to face in only one direction (i.e. towards the Kaaba). If some Muslims live towards the west of the Kaaba they face the east. Similarly if they live towards the east of the Kaaba they face the west.

2. Kaaba is at the Centre of the World Map

The Muslims were the first people to draw the map of the world (Click here). They drew the map with the south facing upwards and north downwards. The Kaaba was at the centre. Later, western cartographers drew the map upside down with the north facing upwards and south downwards. Yet, the Kaaba is at the centre of the world map.

3. Circumambulation around Kaaba for indicating one God

When the Muslims go to the sacred mosque in Makkah, they perform tawaf (circumambulation) round the Kaaba. This act symbolizes the belief and worship of One God, since, just as every circle has one centre, so also there is only one Allah worthy of worship.

4. Saying of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)

Regarding the black stone, there is a hadith (tradition), attributed to the illustrious companion of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh), Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).

According to Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, book of Hajj (Pilgrimage), chapter 56, H.No. 675. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit nor harm. Had I not seen the Prophet (pbuh) touching (and kissing) you, I would never have touched (and kissed) you".

5. People stood on Kaaba and gave the adhaan

At the time of the Prophet, people even stood on the Kaaba and gave the ‘adhaan' or the call to prayer. One may ask those who allege that Muslims worship the Kaaba; which idol worshipper stands on the idol he worships?

.......
I take it your are asking "Does the Islamic belief in circumcision have any support in science?"

Well, I have heard that men are slower to "get off" and such can stimulate the woman better. It also is said that it decreases the occurance of masturbation.
