With all that fine training how can this happen?

This is a rhetorical question. You answered it yourself - which implies you are not requesting an answer at all, but rather are just attempting to incite an emotional response from people. Your secondary follow up question / answer is meant to be sarcastic, however, I think it achieves the opposite goal of what you intend. Twenty four is pretty damn good considering what is happening here every day. There were many more people killed in traffic accidents this month - in the state of kentucky alone, this month there have already been 74 fatalities, and that is only one state - and not a very populated one either! Interesting how in a war zone, we have only lost 24 (by your count), whereas in a peaceful state such as Kentucky, they have lost 74 - and that is only in automobile accidents, not including murders, natural death, and other accidents.

So your point is???

I'm having a hard time believing your profile. It says you were in the Army for 6 years. Who's Army? Did you ever "die" in training? Were you doing the right thing when you did? War sucks? People die? Doing the right thing? Doing the wrong thing? Being in the wrong place at the wrong time? You should know all this if you really served. What MOS were you anyway, not to be able to answer your own question? You get out on the "don't ask don't tell" chapter?

US or Iraqis ? It is an important part of your statement that is missing! Can you fill up the most required part in your statement?
I think we are still closing the eye and replaying the incidents that happend on 2001, on the occssion of the anniversery of 11/9 deaths.

All the fine training in the world can't stop an IED from ripping into metal and flesh. The situation is getting worse not better. We should never have put our men and women in this position in the first place.

Because training does not make you invincible or Superman. Get a grip. Because somebody killed them.

Because the Iraqi guerillas keep setting off roadside bombs and shooting at them while hiding behind women and children.

Why must you and your ilk politicize and cheapen the deaths of those who gave everything to defend the US from the Islamo-Fascists. KNOCK IT OFF!

Let's face facts... army dudes like to die in war zones. It's like the only place an army dude can die in. How many army dudes have you seen die when NOT in a war zone?

They go to the war zone hoping to breathe their last.
