I can't get rid of my ex-boyfriend. I'm trying to forget he ever existed because he beat the bejeezus out of me. So here's the latest thing. He wrote me and told me he's getting rid of the cat and he's calling me a slut and all sorts of stuff. How do I get him out of my life. I left him 5 months ago and he won't leave me alone!

Restraining order-Tell him he is an asswipe-and hell is waiting to give him the VIP treatment-he is one of the first on the list. It's he's loss not yours. He is such a dumbass he is so ignorant and blind to see he is pathetic trying to be clingy like a 10 year old to their blanket. You have moved on, and he should too. He doesn't deserve you, because he is an idiot-and you finally came to the realization that you are better than him-you can do better than him-thus you left him-you wan to live in fresh air-not toxicated air.

a lot of times guys like this just never take no or go away for an answer.. make a police report and get a restraining order. just make sure you report ever incident and keep a record of ever thing trust me if you ever have too go as far as to go to court with this guy you will have it and it will help you a great deal.
and one thing you have got too do and don't back off for any reason and that is once you start this process follow through with ever thing. good luck

Don't open mail he sends. Get caller ID on your phone and if he calls don't answer. Or purchase an answering machine, turn the ringer of your phone off and only pick up the phone if it's someone you want to talk to. Erase his messages as soon as they come in. Do not answer your door to him. Do not acknowledge his presence in anyway. Don't answer his letters don't answer his phone calls if he continues to harrass you by way of the phone call the phone company give him his number and tell them you want to press charges. If he harrasses you through the U.S. mail notify your local Post Office, mail harrassment is a federal offense, so be sure you keep all of the evidence to show proof of his harrassment.

IGNORE every single thing he does. Do not respond in any way shape or form to any insult he slings. Hopefully he'll give up and go away.
And while you're at it, beef up the security at your house and keep a log of what he does. Record phone calls, or rather messages since you won't be answering his calls. Tell your mom or someone close to you what is going on and keep them in the loop.

Do you not know that you need a restraining order. Questions like these I always assume the person is looking for someone to back-up some alternative decision that they've already decided upon.

hi nicole, i would say try getting an order from the court saying he cant get within 5 miles of you, and try to include no phone calls, no e-mails, no letters, and if he violates the court order you call the police and he goes to jail. in my opinion you should have called the police when he beat the beejeezus out of you .

Go to the police and take the letter with you so they have a copy on file. You need to take out a restraining order. From now on, every time he rings you or tries to contact you, report it.

Well what you can do is inform the police who will speek to him and if he carries on after that then get a court order against him which should stop him from ever contacting you again.
