All together now..."Kumbaya, My Lord...Kumbaya...Kumbaya, My Lord...Kumbaya. Kumbaya, My Lord...Kumbaya...Oh, Lord...Kumbaya."

OK, Now a big group hug, everybody. (Pause for the soft gurgling sound of everybody getting a drag on their bongs). "Yup, why can't we just all get along?"..."Yeah, how come?"

In the meantime, someone broke into everybody's car outside and stole your stereos.

(1) Just war theory has been around for a while. Read Max Boot or Michael O'Hanlon for starters. Gwynne Dyer's "War" and some works by John Keegan are illuminating as well.

(2) War as we know it - organized warfare, the pooling of men and resources, recruiting and training, all of it - is an aberration. It has absolutely nothing to do with the hunter-gatherer with his spear. A common misconception is to equate aggression entirely with war. Such is not the case. The mass mobilization of citizenry for conflict is nothing more than industrialized slaughter.

(3) Questions on the justification of war and its morality have been around for years. Read St. Augustine and any other source besides rather than attempt to get badly formulated answers from a place like this.

No !!! Surely our intellect has expanded enough to see that war is never the answer. The only people who benefit from wars are those making money from arms manufacturing. Religion has played a large part in wars throughout the centuries, " my God is better than your God and you better believe it or else ", has been a major factor. After all the fighting is over they have to sit round a table and talk why not do that first. What a waste of life of course it is immoral.Until we recognise the fact that there is only one race in this world and that's the human race, which comes in many creeds and colours we will remain warriors.

Sometimes it is justified to wage a war.
Yet no matter how justified war is nevertheless immoral because of the lives lost, destroyed, wasted.
No war should be entered lightly, but once entered it should be completed. The wars most doomed to failure are those fought against ideas.

Yes it is justifiable. Not all wars are worth fighting. War is not immoral, GENOCIDE is immoral. If you are fighting a war in which you cannot fight, it is not right. But if you have a grenade in one hand, and a kalishnakov AK-47 in the other, you mean business, and that type of business isn't tolerated by the US or the UN for that matter.

Yes we are warriors. It is a modern age for some, but look at the countries controlled by Islam. They don't think the same way. In terms of sociology, they're not really in the modern age in terms of thinking.

Neither are many other countries. And the U.S. is sadly behind some European enlightened countries by thinking war is the answer. It isn't.

You got to war to get what you don't have.
You go to war to protect what you have got.
Both are unjustified.
You may be in a war just to survive, this will never change no matter how much we wish it to.
Basically we ARE just warriors, that is how we have succeeded. However we also use our brains to create society, justice, laws and the concept of fairness. We are evolving socially away from war, but the peace activists must remember that just wishing it doesn't make it so, and that we must always be ready to defend against attack.

it is illogical. in case you've the imaginitive means of Mozart or Picasso, you may want to be at cutting-edge known. yet enable's placed it like this. someone has imaginitive skills, basically as Mozart means aspect. the area is, artwork isn't a sturdy pay off lately. that's a question more desirable of an opinion or a decision. If I did artwork and loved it, no be counted what, i might want to proceed doing it. although if it makes me stay on the streets. in case you'll artwork, you larger proper artwork for what you want, no longer for the way a lot you want, because if no longer, your existence will be depressing. Rival clubs like to show each other who's boss using military hardware.

Irresponsible morons in the middle east never got a chance to know what peace is. From an early age they are taught, "Hate those other guys, they are dogs, they are not the same as us, we are better." They want to have their own club with their own rules and rituals and practices, and try to keep people from other clubs from contaminating their already contaminated way of life. A bunch of idiots in the middle east.

Dear friend,

as we all know there are four ages, SATYUGA,TRETAYUGA,DWAPARYUGA, AND KALIYUGA. right now we are in kliyuga, it is not matter of age whether it is kali (which we call modern age) or satyuga war is afterall war which brings in only destruction, but have we ever thought that why there is innumberable war since time immemorial, if a person is from a pious family and is ascetic and having a brother who is involving in sinful activities including massacre, so what solutions his pias brother is having he wii give countless try to bring him back to main stream and ask him to quit sinful activities but if he is not ready to quit and become big threats for the society the very possible solution could be to eliminate him from society or if it is not possible then destroy the cause which is threats for society or human beings that is to kill him so in other words society have dclared war against him, so we see the same case is here in kaliyuga, terrorism has become a big threat for society we live in and not for one society for the whole world. we have many lessions from past, in Dwapar yuga when God himself had tried to avoid this MAHABHARATA war , but it didnot work , In Satyuga Ravana abducted Sitaji, lord Rama was all powerful to destroy all the demons wihe the blink of an eye, yet Lord tried to work it out Peacefully and had given Ravana many chances to return Sitaji with Dignity, and avoided war but it too did not work. Ravana was big threat to saint people and mankind, So lord Krisna decares in Bhagwad gita that sometimes war is the only solution to establish piece. war is not justified in any age unless and untill every possible solutions failed to establish peace and prosperity, In modern age also every possible solutions to terrorism seems to be failed and war against the terrorism is seems to be only solution to establish peace in the world, so if all the possible solutions have failed to establish peace and one has given arduous effort to avoid war and find that war is the only solution it is definately justified in any age whether it is Satiyuga or modern age. finally war for peace is not immoral. war for any other region is never justified no matter what so may be the age...
