i have the trick, sounds silly but it works like a charm
hang your head off your bed or couch until you are resting it upside down on the ground. Stay like that until you can't stand it any longer then pop up and stand on your bed/couch and breath in hard through your nose. It should do the trick, I know it's weird, my friend showed me a while back when I was stuffed and didn't have anything to use to clear it out.
good luck!

Allergies or a cold or related complication. This happens to me when I'm sick or allergic to something. When I go to sleep, the side that's facing down (closer to the pillow) gets stuffy/runny while the other nostril is clear. In order to sleep with a little more ease, I get a few pillows so my head is better elevated, use some Vick's Vaporub, and a humidifier or vaporizer with eucalyptus oil does wonders. See if it's due to allergies (itchy eyes are one of my related symptoms), and if you do have an allergy, consider medication.

This is a natural occurence and it happens because both sides of your head have sinuses. It sounds to me like you may have some allergies which causes the response of inflamed sinuses stopped up feeling) and clear drainage. My advice is to go to the doctor and get you an antihistamine for those allergies! Also, Ibuprofen will help reduce inflammation...good luck!

Your nasal turbinates seem to be your problem. usually associated with allergies. As one side swells due to gravity- try turning you non-affected side towards the ground. In time, if it is your turbinates, the clear side with swell up. You need some allergy relief. If you know ever find out how to eliminate allergies, let mw know! I hate ragweed myself...

sounds like a deviated septum (i think that's what they call it). It's when your sinus passages are off center. That happens to me a lot. If it gets too severe it can lead to heavy snoring to sleep apnea.
