He's a guy with health issues and on dialysis. Why is a guy with a dialysis machine and a suitcase (assuming he's roaming from place to place) so hard to find?

Andrea B--sorry, but I don't have a basement. And, no, he wouldn't fit in my attic, either.

Unfortunately, he has lots of friends -- fellow believers who believe, as he does, that the US is the great satan, and are willing to take great risks to hide him. It's hard enough to find fugitives in the US, most of whom have far less of a support network than bin Laden does.

Osama was given training by the CIA during the russian conflict during the 1980s. He know we're tapping phones, tracking financial transactions, and dissecting his messages.

Where is Osama now? Look into Pakistan's tribal regions. No government, rugged terrain, high risk of colateral damage: sounds like a terrorist's paradise to me.

Because our current government is horribly inept. After all the millions of dollars and thousands of lives lost, the best America can do is catch the Shoe Bomber. Osama may as well live in the White House basement. The Brits are far better at this game than we are, judging by their successes in the last 15 months. We might have them track down Osama and we can then keep hunting for Saddam's WMDs.........

It shows us, or should show us, that our enemy has many friends who will risk their lives for this man and his movement. It is amazing, but that whole Middle East is a strange land and not at all what we automatically assume about them. They are deeper than we give them credit, and they are much stronger than we can even imagine.
Think of Vietnam and its people who are so strong and determined. We just do not know others beyond our Western Civilization.
I hope someday we begin to understand that we have so much to learn about other people.

Cuz if "we" find him, the war will have to end, and our administration doesnt want the war to end. War is good for reelection. War is also good for culling those more slanted to a non-privileged life, which is both savings of cost and responsibility and political backlash. So no, finding Osama is not what will happen until at least 2009.

Where’s Bin Laden
Where’s Bin Laden

He’s probably runnin’
Probably hidin’

Some say he’s livin’ at the Khyber Pass
Others say he’s at the Bush’s ranch

Needle in a haystack. Too many of his followers are protecting him. He'll be found someday. It's just a matter of time. Even if they did, and he was killed, there will be a thousand other rats to take his place.

It would be a good thing to capture him...alive.

ITS NOT THAT THE PEOPLE ON THAT JOB ARE NOT FINDING HIM
IF A COUNTRY GOES ON WAR THEN THE ARMY IS SENT TO FIGHT FOR THE SAME.
THIS IS ONE MAN SHOW, BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY A FULL BATTION IS NOT BEING SENT COUNTRY WISE AND SETTLE THE ISSUE WHEN HE IS A THREAT TO ALL THE NATIONS.

Well the way i see it is if you took me and a few of my g/f's off of our Estrogen for a week or so then send us over, we'd hunt him out , find him , chew him up and spit him out all before sunrise :)

If the Truth was known.....They don't want to find him.

Why? Then they would have to stop the war on terrorism. That is NOT what they want. :)

BTW: Don't be so sure, he isn't caught or dead NOW. If he is or was....We would not hear about it, until they wanted us too.
