I have the same problem!
I hate 'em!!!
But, I have lost 61 lbs. and have noticed that I do have an ankle bone sticking out....
....But, I still have the cankles.
I've had them ever since I was a little kid and no matter what I weighed, I've always looked like I had some kind of flesh colored, over stuffed sock warmers on.
Yep, it's just the way we are. No matter how much we lose.....we will always, in some way, either lots or a little....have cankles.
Sorry......but hey, at least you know your not alone. If that is any consolation...
Keep your chin up and your cankles covered... ;o)
Or if you want.....be proud and show your cankles!!
I myself am a closet cankler and will stay this way...

I suggest fast walking to tone the lower body. Keep those feet moving and check your pulse often. Breathe in through and out the mouth so you don't get fatigued quickly.
