Although everyone so far has assumed you meant this as a joke, it is actually kind of an interesting question. Closing one's eyes will not make your fart smell any less, so why would your cat do that? A human's natural reaction is to plug one's nose - so why would a cat close its eyes?
My guess is that it is a natural instinct that has been passed on to cats through evolution because when they encounter something that smells really bad in nature (like a skunk spraying them), closing their eyes is a good idea to not get the spray in their eyes. Cats, like humans, depend heavily on eyesight, so they want to protect their eyes.

Your cat closes his eyes because he sensitive to the smell. I have a male cat that is very sensitive to smells. Take for example nail polish remover. If he is on the bed with me and I am using nail polish remover, he will jump off the bed and run when he smells it. As well as other strong sents. But I have noticed that when he smells what he thinks is a strong sent to him he closes his eyes as he smells it.

Becaue when you fart, it is nothing but a microshit spreadsheet small invisible particles. You would close your eyes also.

because you are sick and he can't stand to look at you do you set his tail on fire also how would you like it he sat on your face every time he had to fart would you not close your eyes unless you like it. GET REAL you don't need animals
