This is what I always do to check an egg for freshness get a basin of cold water and place your egg in it if it stays on the bottom its fresh if it floats on one side its over 3 weeks old but still good to use, BUT if it floats for goodness sake throw it out WITHOUT breaking it as it is really Off, this is a good way to check your eggs, there you are, you can POACH my idea. He, He, he he he Ha, ha,ha,ha,ha. Good luck to you and yours

Have a nice day

they should have an expiration date on them. But most eggs are good for a while after the date. Just be careful. Eggs are cheap, if they are past date, thow away!

Until they hatch? Just kidding, they shouldn't be kept more than 3 days past the expiration date on the carton... they don't start stinking though until like a week or two later, trust me I know... forgot they were in there once... not pretty.

They have an expiration date at the end, you just need to add NO MORE then 2 months to that date or they will and THEY WILL REALLY start to go ROTTEN.

Till they go bad or you eat them. You got about two months. Waste no time in consuming those aborted foul embyos. Let not a drop of the whites go to waste. Ride like the wind.

I have kept them for three or four months in the fridge with no problem! Unless they smell really nasty, they're fine to use!!
