Some dogs do eat every other day..so for those it is especially important to feed the highest quality food you can find..such as Canidae, Natural Balance, Innova, Solid Gold, Wellness or Wysong.

If he seems as happy and active on the days he doesn't eat, as on the days he does, his metabolism has adjusted to that routine.

Don't offer any treats with any kind of processed sugars or corn syrup, but only meat, peanut butter or meaty treats.

My dog does that only because he thinks he's human. He was given house food before we got him so he is not a fan of dog food. We serve him food and he would only eat the whole thing if he is starving but on other days he leaves it there as if we are going to war and just saves it for tomorrow and then he eats.

You need to put your pup on a feeding schedule. only put the food out for 20 minutes at the same time every day(once a day if he refuses to eat too, dogs are animals and will not allow themselves to starve), you need to be strict about it. Make the dog sit for you before you allow him to eat. and STOP FEEDING HIM TREATS between meals. if you want to train him, kibble will work just as well.

nothing really relevant to this but my dog is always hungry i could give a whole source pan of food and she'll still be hungry, just though you should know. but i think that can be normal, my dogs sister is the same and she's healthy!
