no, it was all natural forces. To all those who say it was to punish the decadent ppl who lived in New Orleans, why didn't God punish hatemongers like Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, or Fred Phelps? why is it only ppl that are percieved as 'immoral' and not those who are truly dragging the Christian religion through the mud w/their shameful claims of speaking for God? i would think an All Powerful Diety could speak well enough for His/Her Self, w/o needing some self-righteous, stuffed chested, hypocritical asshole who has more money in the bank than He does, and yet hoards it away like some sort of Scrooge to do it for Him/Her.

Nature causes all hurricanes. All natural disasters. I dislike immensely when people call something bad that happens "an act of God." God does not cause bad things to happen in my opinion.

I believe natural disasters are a part of nature and planned according to God.
Have you ever noticed that after a natural disasters people that are strangers come together and help one another?
Hurricanes may destroy, but they have a way of bringing mankind together.

If there is a God, s/he/it is the ultimate cause of everything, so the religious here are dodging again. If not, Katrina was just a violent collision of high and low atmospheric pressure.

The God in Heaven, the Almighty, created nature and therefore nature obeys God's command. Satan did not create anything but uses what God has made to accomplice his evil plan.
God uses nature to discipline and correct the people he loves so they may come back to him and walk in the ways that are pleasing to His sight. God love USA therefore He has the right to correct his children there!!

Its satan. 100%. God, is a god of love. He does'nt want missery but He permit it to happen, sometimes, to test humanity.
Remember Job? He is a righteous man, yet God permit satan to inflict in him so many woes, "but do not kill him", so that Job would curse God.

Ephesians 2:1-3
1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Man and nature had more to do with Katrina and its aftermath than any diety.
