I have a tumor in my spine and one in the brain. I can tell you that they are not cancerous which is a true blessing, however, they are verrry painful. I have been disabled from mine since I was 18 years old. I am now 26 with 2 kids. One is 10 and the other is 2. I can no longer have kids because the tumor in my back is a bleeder and if it gets hit or too much stress on it it will burst and I wiill bleed to death. I am still able to walk a bit, but it hurts bad. The one in the brain gives me whompin *** headaches that I cannot even explain. It is pure torture. Do you know someone that has a problem with it? Bless you and keep yourself well. Stephanie

It depends on where the tumor is located, if it is located close to the major organs, it cause that organ to fail and pressure that it create as it enlarges causes pain...tumor, malignant or benign can be painless , and thats the reason why sometimes it's too late when its detected because patients remain asymptomatic until its already in the late stages

It really depends where the tumor is, its size, and its rate of growth. I have only occasional pain from mine. Most everything else responded to chemo, but I have a mass in my spleen and 3 other spots that have not gone away, but have not grown either. Hang in there. Chemo's bad, but it's better than dying.

i had ovarian cancer...my tumor in the ovary was so big it basically exploded and i had to have emergency surg to have the ovary removed. after the pain of being cut open hip to hip, then starts the chemo. I went thru 6 months of chemo at MD Anderson in Houston TX. I live about 2 hrs away, so the drive was bad enough. when you're sick, you just want to be in bed, but not when you have chemo.
One day schedule: Have to be at the hospital at 5:30am for bloodwork, 5:45am chest x-ray, 6am CT prep (drink lots of barium), 7am nurse starts iv in already crappy veins, takes 30 min just to find vein...7:30 get injected with dye into iv, makes you dizzy and nauseated, 8am do ct scan, 10am start chemo. the nurse hooks you up to about 4 drugs that go straight into your central line in your chest, it takes about 9 hrs for all my chemo.....during the 9 hrs, there's crying, vomiting, crying, watching tv, crying, vomiting, etc.
after the chemo, (7:30pm)i have thrown up so much i can hardly hold my head up, but i have the long 2 hr ride back home. then, tomorrow we start all over again with the chemo. (at 6am)
but in the end, it's all worth it. i am now cancer free for 2 yrs!!! :)

My dad has had skin cancer for over 30 years. They tried to cut it out but it kept spreading and they can't do anything for it. Me and him have been experimenting with different meds and found that mixing a half and half mixture of flour of sulfur and preparation H will close up the sore for a short amount of time and slow down the cancer growth. The sore still does grow larger and gushes blood. He has to carry around a towel if he goes anywhere because he cant stop bleeding at times. He rarely goes anywhere becausee of it. He can not hear out of one ear because it is swollen up huge and has puss running out of it all the time. He has to put plastic sheets on his bed because he bleeds on them at night and soaks the sheets. He has to buy dark clothes usually black to cover up blood stains. He has constanct headaches and has trouble eating. He lays down a lot and doesnt see his family unless they come to him. He has coughing fits alot because it has spread to his throat area and he passes out a lot. He stopped calling an ambulance because they just pop him on ivs and end up sending him home saying 'there is nothing else we can do for you".
