Will the eggs harm you? No but I'm sure the group of activists breathing down your neck might be a little uncomfortable. And about killing the Bald eagle......Are you an idiot?

Actually it is a Federal Offense to harm an endangered or protected species you could be fined or imprisoned or both call wildlife management official if you want it removed also do not eat the eggs it will be the most expensive meal you ever ate for many years to come Gorbalizer

It is probably an owl. I doubt a bald eagle would be anywhere near a chimney. You would go to jail if you shot it and you would be stupid to eat it. As far as the eggs go, if they are eagle eggs they need to be protected and you would go go jail if you mess with them. Even if they are just bird eggs, you should not mess with them. My grandmother told me that when you mess with a bird's eggs, the devil will visit you!

As a symbol of our country, it's your patriotic duty to skin and eat the bird.
