Guy #1: I have known a guy for almost a year. He says he loves me. He lives in Canada and I live in the US. We met and then he moved. We have kept touch over email and phone. He is sort of unstable. He lives with his parents and is in his late 20's. He at the moment, doesn't have a job. We have some of the same interests. He has a good heart. We have shared a lot of memories together.

Guy #2: I have known this guy for 3 months. He treats me as if I am the most important thing in the world. He said he loved me after 3 weeks of dating. He has a steady job and greater plans for his future. He lives on his own and is in his mid 20's. I know he can take care of me in the future. We have a lot of the same interests. He gets along well with my family. He is willing to do anything to keep me happy.

I have not had sex with either of these men. They both know of each other. Both relationships are open. Question now is which man do I choose when I care about both?

Well... forgive me if this sounds rude, but I'm just trying to analyze the situation.

So, if you choose guy 1 - you have a person who truly loves you, but is just unstable without a job. A good heart you said. Lots of memories shared, which makes him easier to talk to - because you've known him longer.

If you choose guy 2 - you have money and love. It seems like love now - but it takes a long time to establish love. What will happen if one day he doesn't feel that way anymore? He sure can take care of you, and now makes you feel special - but how sure are you that you will always be special to him.

You have either choice. We cannot tell you who to choose, but we can roughly point you in the right decision. Make your own choice and know why you did it.

guy # 2, no doubt. Stability is everything. If the guy is in his late 20's and still living with his parents, that is a big red flag.

Looks like Guy #2 with a bullet to me, what's the problem?
