Well, being that we are still human it is at times hard to turn the other cheek but if we let our selves be led by the Holy Spirit we then have a heads up on first of all what drama will most likely happen and that helps us to prepare prayerfully to deal with the situation , and plus if the Holy spirit is dwelling in you , you are more likely to react in a non-selfish manner because a spirit filled christian knows that it is not about them,..... it is about God so they learn to don't take things personally and just move on with forgiveness in their hearts. God Bless you and much love!

there is a difference between turning the other cheek and being a doormat.
First decide that you will not repay evil with evil. Bless those that curse you and despitefully use you. Don't EXPECT a person to do what is right, to make ammends or to feel repentant when they have wronged you. Don't wait for these things before you forgive. Decide to forgive whether they do the right thing or not

"As Christians, do you believe in turning the other cheek?"
YES, when someone is mean to me, I show him my two cheeks under the belly ( asss )

"If so, what do you do when someone says something unkind about you?"

I just shut-up and listen, then I sing Jesus songs and they generally get freaked out and move away.

"How do you keep from repaying with evil?"
Hey, I'm a Christian and therefore I'm supposed to be Stupid-Good, not Intelligent-Evil.

Therefore, I always repay with Freakiness, this works as people get freaked out and move away.

I have definitely found this a struggle at times. Sometimes I think I am realizing some control over the whole thing, but just recent events at work have proven me wrong.

At least in theory we are actually eternal spirit souls. Our eternal soul can never be harmed by any weapon or insult. It is identification with the temporal material existence and our temporary body/mind that has us retaliating for offenses committed against us.

I was raised a Christian and later learned Bhakti Yoga. Bhakti Yoga will help Christians to make advancement in this area.

Turn the other cheek is done by Boxers every day-- it is done when you see a hit coming, turning makes the blow glance off!

We can turn the other cheek BY PREDICTING that a nasty or dirty comment o=is coming and being prepared for it. Do not strike back in anger-- but think first - then answer!

I turn the other cheek w/ the greatest difficulty. The only way I know how is to see myself kneeling before Jesus and offering the turning to him as a gift of love.

its not evil to stand up for your self or for others. you have a limited amount of cheeks to turn before you run out and have to do something about it.

The more you dwell in Him, the more He changes your heart. The tongue loses its power to wound, the flesh no longer rises up at insults. And believe me, people notice!

You find yourself responding in the Holy Spirit, the way Jesus would.
