Were your previous medication balances, with the l1100 mg of lithium, the effexor, and the 2 mg of xanax working well for you?
There are things that you might be able to do to help. Sleep is imperative and exercise can be incredibly helpful to the manic depressive (forgive my assumption here) in maintaining moods.
Even if you cannot go in and see your doctor every three days, this constitutes a minor emergency. You need to talk to your doctor and see what he or she has to say about this. If you need to do phone check-ins, many physicians will allow those to be arranged by phone. But you need to see your doctor about this ASAP. Right now it is minor, but if it isn't dealt with there is a high likeliness that it is going to go from a minor emergency to a major one. After all, what is more disruptive: a doctor's appointment, or mood growing out of control?
Also, one of the most important things a person of moods can have is self-awareness, and I applaud yours here. You can use this with a combination of other things to come up with a system that makes life easier for you as well. Email me if you'd like to takl about that.
Again, please contact your doctor as soon as you possibly can.

Okay, so you're Bipolar and being weaned off medication for depression in hopes that the Lithium is stabalizing your mood enough for you to function without the anti-depressant. But all the symptoms you mentioned have to do with anxiety not depression. Are you also being weaned off the Xanax? If so, then it seems like you might have to reconsider that change. Check in with your doctor and give ALL of your symptoms. It sounds like you need more anti-anxiety meds, but your doctor will know best. Don't be afraid to tell your doctor what's really going on so he/she can help. You need to get stable for your kids!

I personally think medication is the easy way out of things. Grow some balls and face your fears. Everyone is scared of something! I'm scared of my basement, but I still need to do the laundry! If you start to panic about something try to take a step back and see how silly you are being, then just do it. Clearly you survived the last time you were alone, you will survive again the next time! Do it for your kids.

Should we call the police or what ?,Anyway I would stop taking the medication if I were you, find someone who's good with my kids to watch them for a week, call my greedy doctor and tell him to take me off at least some of the meds and stop experimenting on you . I'm more concerned about your kids really, whatever you do don't mistreat them and please lay off some of the meds until you can clear your head. Try finding some time for yourself to really think rationally.

Paranoia is not something that you get from depression/bi-polar meds - call your doctor right away and get this sorted out with them. Whoever it is that's administering your meds will have information about what you should do, so don't hesitate to call them. Good luck, I know that messing with the meds can be pretty scary.

my grandmother always tried to help others when she felt agitated. She always told me to acknowledge the discomfort but to also know that it was a state of mind only and not an enemy.... do not fear but acknowledge the presence of the feeling and trust that the feeling was temporary and sensory in nature...you are loved.

I have to remind myself that what thoughts that are racing in my head are not permanent. Just remember that this is temporary and please stay in close contact with psychiatric care. Do you have somebody that could watch your children to receive the proper psychiatric care??
