I would first like to know what country you are from? And to see how blessed it was right now, and to see how many terrorist keep coming to THIS COUNTRY.

Really the wrong day to be on here talking down on God or this Country!
Well you are doing good by staying out of our Country, I wish everyone that was not American would, and to be honest with you I just feel today is a day we should all pray for the world not just one country. When we say God bless our country it is because we need help, and I believe only God can help!
And it is people like you that look down on our country that really disgust me. I never insult anyone on these and I am a good person, but seems to me it is always someone coming at an American with their fist up, so guess what we don't lie down!

I really think you don't know much about America or Americans.

Do you say "God bless the world?" We ask God to bless our country, our families and whoever needs prayer, wherever they are. God's blessings cross borders and go around the world. They are not confined to one country.

If your country has NO corruption, porn or any other bad activity like you say, then you need to wake up. It's everywhere, not just here.

And for your information, regardless of what you say or think, America is blessed and will continue to be blessed because we are a nation of believers, and even with the problems we may have, we know we are blessed to be here over any other country in the world.

Before you judge us, remember that God Himself doesn't judge a man before he is dead. Why do you?

I have no connection to any religious parties so God blessing anything or anyone isn't the irritating factor in your idiotic question...YOU ARE. Firstly, the song, which if you're gonna talk you may as well know how it goes:

God Bless America
Land that I love
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America
My home sweet home.

Secondly, it's a song dewd, a song. A song is traditionally a piece of work created by an inspired song writer. It seems as though Irvin Berlin was inspired by the beauty of this country of ours and decided to merely request a blessing of protection and guidance from God during its earlier years of developement.

Thirdly, it's patriotic pride, for oneself, ones neighbors, the land we live off of protect and defend. Don't tell me there aren't any egocntric songs of pride for your country and its people where you come from.

Now if you were thinking this is our national anthem, which is completely different, focusing on the flag of our country which represents the land, people and the sacrifices made for what this country has come to be, "the land of the free, and the home of the brave.", then you are an idiot because you're obviously trying to get us defensive, yet over the wrong song.

As for the stupidity in your second statement, within EVERY GOVERNMENT there lies a tinge of corruption, such is the way of humanity. There is always a person (or persons) who want to gain either power, status, position, whatever their goal may be, no matter where you go, they are/have been there, and again I challenge you to look to your own country's government and proclaim with an honest heart there isn't a corrupt person in the lot.

So STFU a**wipe!!

Added this on after seeing your completely naive, moronic and ignorant comment about your country. Firstly, I'm sure someone is telling you that there is no pornography, but I can assure you you've got it as an export and for internal "release". As for homosexuality, you flippin dummy, again your circle of mummyfraggers have brainwashed you into thinking that, and you have greedily accepted it as truth while you and your people have suppressed and closeted a section of your "great culture" (which I might add fell over 2 thousand years ago) for fear of persecution. You still have homosexual men and women in your country, they just live life in a constant state of fear should one of those they are closest to learn their "secret", which is not a choice but a part of who they are --honestly, why would someone choose to be gay, especially in a sandhole of a country like yours where their "choice" will be the death of them.

Clearly you live in a permanent state of DE-NILE!!!

Perhaps if everyone in every country asked the God of their beliefs to bless their country, then the entire world would be blessed!

Just as people may pray and ask to "Bless this house," or what they are doing (even ball games!), asking to bless any of these or any country, or school, or boat, or congregation, or synagogue or mosque, doesn't exclude others blessings. It doesn't show any negativity. Heck! We even say "Bless you," when somebody sneezes!

Blessings are positive things! And infinite in nature, so there are plenty to go around. It doesn't show selfishness, it generally just shows a desire for good.

Just a thought -- out of curiousity, I clicked on your icon and saw that you mentioned that you have started a website to bridge the differences between Muslims and Non-Muslims. If this is truly your honest desire, than maybe it might be a good idea to ask some of your Non-Muslim acquaintances and friends, how to phrase questions in a way that gets your question across in what might be a more non-adversarial way?

Just a thought....

Ah, political correctness isn't that sweet. Ya know what everyone wants their own respect you know how it goes African American,Mexican Americans, Hebrew Americans. It doesn't seem like anyone wants to be called just American anymore. This country is becoming so divided that soon their wont even be an America anymore. Well ya know I think that I like the term God Bless America and if they want to say God Bless Islam or France then more power to you or them. With all the corruption going on I think we could use a little blessing to get us through. Peace.

Well, if you're talking about the song "God bless the USA" it's a song about America. Sooooo of course we want God to bless the whole world but when speaking of our country, we say God bless our country. When saying your prayers at night, do you mention everyone in the whole world or do you pray to God to bless and keep your loved ones. Do you understand what I'm saying? Don't read so much into everything. It's just about american pride. If Africa (which is where you say you're from) had a song saying God bless Africa, I wouldn't take offense to that. I would say good for Africa for asking God to bless them.

Everyone with whom I associate regularly DOES pray for others as well. But would we not be foolish to exclude our own country-- that over which we have been given charge, and which contains our own families? The obvious question: do you not pray for your own country? Your own family?

Serious question; please answer: Do Muslims bless America regularly? What sort of prayer would you call "Maag barg Amrika!!" (Death to America)" --included in the brainwashing of even the youngest citizens (in Iran, just for one example)? I for one would never curse a country-- or even another human being. Christians are only to bless, and not curse.

You delude yourself. No country is immune to vices; human nature, unredeemed by God, gravitates invariably toward sin. The fact that any particular activity is officially illegal does not make it non-existent; it is merely driven underground. I happen to know that many Egyptian men troll the Internet for pornography and much worse-- any girl who will be gullible enough to fall prey to their selfish (remember that word?) lusts.

I cannot help but wonder: Why should it offend you that ANY country should seek or ask for God's help or His blessing? Is that not a virtue in any religion (I know it is in Islam)? Does it not also show an acknowledgement that we do indeed need help and improvement? Why would anyone NOT applaud such humility and admission of imperfection? Is not such fallibility precisely what you have been trying to prove?

The answer for that is ethnocentrism. The belief that one's culture is better than others. Citizens of the United States keep singing God Bless America because they are ethnocentric and in some way ignorant; They do not understand or do not want to understand that America is a continent not the United States. The United States is part of the American continent.

Well if you would have actually read your own question you would have the answer. God Bless our Country is not the same as God, ONLY Bless our Country. With all the pathetic attempts to degrade Americans it is good to see another one. Maybe on your next question you will actually give it some thought.

I think the Americans are only truly aware of what happens in their country and their country only. So many Americans I know are not even aware of half the stuff that happens in the world because they are too self involved with things their country has been involved in.

This is probably the Governments fault because they want people to know about American history only and even then thats totally bias.

It just frustrates me the arrogance of a lot of the American people, they have no concept whatsoever of what happens in other countries and they are so quick to believe whatever that puppet bush tells them.

Its all a scam dude, that country & the government are f*cked at the moment, have been for decades. If only the american people could see it but they are blinded by such an idiotic leader who reads childrens books upside down and cannot speak to the public without someone telling him exactly what to say word for word through an ear piece.
