First of all, if it's your first date, it's too early to know if the person is "the love of your life". I would go to a nice restaurant and have a steak or something (something you can eat with a fork & knife and not with your hands). Good luck.

I would say a home cook meal that resembles a preview of a future live.
- Soup and deserts are very important.
The main course is subject to change as people has different tastes.

ice - cream.
it aint exactly a meal but its the type of thing i like to go for on a first date.
find a really good palour (bonus if its near a beach) and go for a walk at sunset.

Ok if you want to be cute eat something you can cut and eat slowly. Something small that fits in your mouth. If you want to be honest about how you eat, order what you like eat and eat it the way you would normally eat it.

Spaghetti! You can take turns feeding one another...Or take a strand of spaghetti, he takes one end, she the other and you both see how quickly you reach the middle for a passionate kiss...
