the bottom of my amp got wet. the green light still come on when power is going to it but is it possible for it to not output as much wattage as before if it got wet? basically if it had water damage would it stop working completely or is it possible to partially stop working?

Once oxidation starts, there's no stopping it. If ANY contacts/components are oxidized, it's toast.

Unplug it and take off the top see if the contacts are rusted or the solder is rusted. Don't break apart the thermal grease form the heatsink. Or touch anything beacuse there could be stored wattage on the board. If there is no rust dont worry about it. Just make sure it is completely dry before using it, if it's bad it will blow a fuse.

it could do either. it depends on the extent of the water damage. It IS possible it could be partially not working because of it, but it's not the best thing to use anything using electricity that got wet! Probably best to get a new one, rather than waste money to fix the one you got. Sorry man! Best of luck!

If the water has not reached the main board it may have no problems, but I would replace it if the water has Reached the main board. It usually will not work at all if the board is damaged

you shouldnt even have the amp on after water damage. very good way to ruin other electricals in your car

if anything has water damage lose it replace it and your on your way
