If a guy knows you might like him and thinks you're okay does he still get nervous around you?

Most of the time he's thinking if he's impressing you or what you are thinking about him at the moment. Of course he's nervous.

A bit of guy psychology: Once guys start to really like somebody, they start fantasizing about all sorts of things involving her. Yep - THOSE things. And they dream about how to get it. Even the nicest guy you've ever met, unless he's gay, is thinking about sex with you as soon as he starts paying extra attention to you. Sometimes we don't intend to DO anything about it (like with a best friend's girlfriend) but we'll still think about it. It's pretty much involuntary.
But we have to hide it. Or you think we're perverts and run away. We have to somehow pretend we're not interested in that, while slowly making you like us more. It's hard. And guess what that makes us - nervous. Always afraid of going too far or saying the wrong thing, but thinking about what we can do to take things up a notch. Sometimes we get paralyzed with fear, or see mixed signals, and don't step things up. But the nervousness is the sign. It means we have our brains fighting our hormones for control.
So if he gets nervous around you, it means he likes you. Pretty simple.

Not usually, because if he does talk to you then it is usually about "safe" things that would indicate a friendship relationship only - or does not acknowledge you either way.
Guys have subtle ways of demonstrating their intentions...
Unless they are total pigs and want to take advantage of you for "notch" reasons.
